蛋白胨、牛肉粉在培养基中作为营养物质提供菌体生长所需的碳源、氮源、维生素及矿质元素等;D- 甘露醇为碳水化合物及可发酵的碳源;酚红为酸碱指示剂;琼脂作为凝固剂;50% 卵黄提供卵磷脂;多粘菌素B 抑制其他菌的生长。发酵甘露醇的细菌在该培养基上生长产酸使菌落及周围的培养基变成黄色,产卵磷脂酶的细菌则水解卵磷脂,使其菌落周围形成一个白色的沉淀环。蜡样芽孢杆菌为甘露醇阴性和卵磷脂酶阳性,因此其菌落呈粉红色,周围有白色的沉淀环。
Peptone and beef powder are used as nutrients in the medium to provide carbon source, nitrogen source, vitamin and mineral elements required for cell growth. D-mannitol is a carbohydrate and fermentable carbon source. Phenol red is acid-base indicator; AGAR as a coagulant; 50% yolk provides lecithin; Polymyxin B inhibits the growth of other bacteria. Bacteria that ferment mannitol grow on the medium and produce acid that turns the colony and surrounding medium yellow, while bacteria that produce lecithinase hydrolyze the lecithin and form a white precipitating ring around the colony. Bacillus cereus is mannitol negative and lecithinase positive, so its colony is pink with a white precipitating ring around it.

使用方法
Usage
称取本品46.0g,加热溶解于1000ml蒸馏水中,分装每瓶100ml,经121℃高压灭菌15分钟,待培养基冷却至50℃时,每瓶加入50%卵黄乳液5ml及多粘菌素B 10000IU,摇匀,倾入无菌平皿。
Weigh 46.0g of this product, heat and dissolve it in 1000ml distilled water, subpack 100ml in each bottle, autoclave at 121℃ for 15 min, when the medium is cooled to 50℃, add 5ml 50% yolk emulsion and 10000IU polymyxin B into each bottle, shake well, and pour into aseptic plate.
